Jesus calls us to repentance from our sins. He doesn't condemn us, but He wants us to lay down the sin that so easily tangles us, repent, and follow Him. We, who are in Christ Jesus are more than conquerors through Him who loves us so much that He bore the weight of every sin for everyone in the whole world on His shoulders. If that isn't love, then there is no such thing as love.
As Christians we are called to live apart from the world, to live according to God's commandments. Are we perfect? Not at all. I don't pretend to be, but I know someone who is, and I try every day to be more like Him. Not because I have to, but because I want too.
I love the old hymn Jesus paid it all. All to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain. He washed it white as snow.
One day, we will all stand before God. Every single one of us. We will give an account of everything we ever did right and wrong. God will separate the sheep from the goats. The sheep will go with Him. The goats will be separated from God for all eternity. It won't be fun. It will be hell. If you repent and ask Jesus to forgive your sins. He will. Then when you are judged, Jesus will say, "she is one of mine." because your name will be written in the Lamb's book of life and no one will be able to snatch you out of God's hand.
Put your pride aside. This life is but a vapor. Eternity is FOREVER. Live for Jesus. Live your life to bring glory to Him, not yourselves. There is no room for unrepentant sin in God's presence. God is the ultimate judge. Not you.
"What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon His face. The one who saved me by His grace. When He takes me by the hand and leads me to the promised land. What a day, glorious day that will be."
Come Lord Jesus.
