God has given us all different gifts to further the kingdom of God.  Ephesians 2:10  says - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  
I'm glad I do not have to compete with God to be an artist.  He is the perfect artist in every sunset, in every flower, and yes, even in me. I used to be a mess. I cried a LOT. I think it was because I didn't think I was good enough for God to use.  But I am learning that if He doesn't use imperfect people, He won't be able to use anyone.  So my confidence is in the Lord, not in my abilities. 
A lot has been said lately about good works getting us to heaven.  Let me be clear, good works cannot get us into heaven.  The only way to heaven is through a relationship with Jesus Christ.  He said:  "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, but through me." John 14:6.  
 
But I can tell you this:  if God gives me something to do.  You can bet. I will not say no.  He has given each one of us something to do and He gives us what we need to do His work. I love working for Jesus. He takes care of everything.  He grows me and hopefully, He grows you too.  
You see folks, we are not the stars of the show.  This life is not about us.  We are here for the glory of the Lord.   God is the star of universe. I am nothing without Him.  He is the author and perfector of my faith. He is my everything.
My hope for you is to lean on the Lord until He tells you what He wants you to do.  I know He will let you know.  It's up to you to obey His calling. All you have to do is "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not upon your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs: 3: 5-6.  
Let's give our Lord the praise and glory He deserves by living our lives for Him.   To God be the Glory.
