God's goodness

So, the picture was taken on Hatteras Island. I came out of the restaurant and noticed the sunset. The boat was in my way. LOL. So, I took a picture of the boat and the sunset. Some people may say I am endorsing the prosperity gospel, but I'm not. However, there is nothing wrong with owning a boat. Some of Jesus’s best friends owned boats. They were fishermen and Jesus occasionally rode on those boats. This is not about the boat. This is about finding God’s purpose for your life.
It wasn’t until I started painting this piece that I noticed the bird in the marsh. And the bird flying in the sky. God’s creation is all around us. All we have to do is open our eyes and observe His wonderful creation. What did you notice first when you saw the picture? The boat or the sunset?
The Bible says we are not supposed to worry about things, like what to wear, what will we eat. God provides for the flowers and the birds. Matthew: 6: 33 says Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. You see we’re supposed to depend solely on God. He has a plan for every one of us. He gives us the talents we have to make a living which provides for what we need. It is my belief that you really need to love what you do make a difference for the kingdom of God. He can use you no matter your profession. Just make sure it is God's will for your life.
In starting this art business, I’ve been asked what I am going to do with the money I make out of it. Trust me when I say this...I am not doing this to get rich quick or ever. But I thought you would like to know what my goals are for Helium Art, LLC:
Short term and overall goals:
To encourage women, (or men, if they read my blogs). I’m not a pastor nor do I have a degree in theology so I won’t teach men, but I can’t stop them from reading my blogs. But I have a heart for women who are busy and are heavy-ladened. I just want to encourage them to always put God first in their lives. And to find out what His purpose is for their lives.
My long-term goal is Lofty. So, I will tell you how it came to be... When I was fresh out of high school. I applied to go to college at Berkshire Christian College and was accepted. I prayed God would show me what He wanted me to do. I was so interested in being a missionary. I believe that was God’s call for me. I still do. You sure don’t have to leave the United States to be a missionary. The problem at the time was my mom did not have the money to send me to school and my scholarship dreams were voided with not so good grades in high school. Still all part of God’s plan. He needed a handy dandy Army Supply Sergeant at the time.
I say that to say this, it is never too late to work for God. I can be a missionary right where I am. Everybody needs Jesus and I will proclaim that until I die.
Oh yea, my long-term goal is to help people who want to be missionaries, but maybe their mama doesn’t have the money to send them to school either. And maybe their grades are not up to standards... like me. But if the Lord has called them, and who can argue with the call from the Lord. So, my goal is to have enough money to start a scholarship fund for the called. And maybe there is someone who wants to change their direction in mid-life to be a nurse or a teacher or a businessperson or a politician or a police officer. Folks, God need Christians in all walks of life. So, it is my long-term goal to help people get where God needs them to be.
See I told you it was lofty. But it’s where God is leading. I may incorporate some of you to be on my Board of Directors and help me sift through the applications when the time comes.
You see. This is not my business. This is God’s business. I am just overseeing it for Him. This is God's goodness.
Thanks for reading this blog. I hope you follow God's lead for your life. I don't know where Helium Art will go, but I'm in it to win souls for Jesus.
